We are seeking a fair pay increase, together with a range of improvements to bring conditions for Staff at Notre Dame in line with conditions applying at other Australian Universities. Examples include improvements to Job Security, Superannuation, Workload Regulation, Conditions for Casual Staff, Remote Allowance for staff at Broome, and Maternity Leave.

All of the bulletins are in PDF format and are between 50kb to 200kb in size.
Further updates and copies of Bargaining Bulletins will be made available soon.

The NTEU is aware that there is an increasing number of confirmed cases of Influenza H1N1 in Victoria, and there is a likelihood that the virus will spread quickly.
There is a risk that some of our members may contract the disease, and others becomming subject to quarantine arrangements. This is a concern that is likely to affect the whole community.
The NTEU Victorian Division will be in ongoing contact with all Victorian universities about the plans being developed for dealing with staff and students who come in contact with virus.
It is very important to the containment of the virus that any employee who may be affected, either directly through the workplace or otherwise, be encouraged to adhere to quarantine requirements and therefore contribute to the prevention of further outbreaks.
The NTEU will be acting to ensure that universities commit that staff will not be disadvantaged should they come into contact with the H1N1 Influenza.
In particular, we are seeking assurances that staff subject to periods of quarantine will not lose pay or have leave entitlements deducted as a consequnece their internment.
In most cases, the existing collective agreements will protect staff entitlements.
Please contact your local NTEU branch office if you have queries about your entitlements.
