A general meeting of members on Tuesday 1 June resolved to reinstitute marking bans should agreement on the outstanding issues of salary and expiry date not be resolved by Friday 4 June (see below for correspondence to university management).

The NTEU has called on SCU management to conclude negotiations on this EBA round by the end of May. Given that the previous EBA expired in November 2008, we cannot accept any further delays and therefore have called upon the University to commit to our timeframe. Looking for Something Simple and Quick To Do For Your UNION Today?
The NTEU SCU branch has signalled to management that we want to reach settlement on this EBA by the end of May 2010.
Please download and print each days poster and place on your door, tearoom fridge, noticeboard or any other prominent spot in your workplace to increase pressure on management to resolve the key bargaining claims by 28 May in line with our letter to the DVC to intensify negotiations.
The NTEU calls on management to settle on:
- Salaries
- Contract of Employment
- Casual Employees
Should satisfactory resolution not be achieved by 28 May, members will meet on 1st June to determine what collective action to take in pursuit of our claims.
