A new collective agreement for university staff means better outcomes for students, stronger research and innovation and a restoration of lost workplace rights.
Information for students
It’s time for university management to negotiate seriously.
NTEU Public Rally
Thursday 21 May, 1pm
State Library, cnr La Trobe & Swanston Sts
Staff are striking for improved working conditions, including:
- Better workload arrangements, to reduce strain on staff;
- Improved job security, with more ongoing jobs;
- Real career paths for casual and sessional academics; and
- Restoration of workplace rights removed by the former Howard Government (with a policy known as HEWRRs).
Our claims are reasonable and affordable.
Universities have no more excuses.
